The short version: Toro stores all your data locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or share your personal information. We have no servers storing your workout history. Your data is yours — completely.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

Toro collects only the information you choose to enter into the App, including:

  • Workout data — exercises, sets, reps, and weights
  • Bodyweight entries you log manually
  • Custom workout programs you create
  • App preferences such as weight unit (lbs/kg) and plate inventory settings

This information is stored exclusively on your device using local storage. It is never transmitted to us or any third party.

Information We Do NOT Collect

Toro does not collect any of the following:

  • Your name, email address, or any contact information
  • Location data
  • Device identifiers or advertising IDs
  • Usage analytics or behavioral tracking data
  • Payment information (managed entirely by Google Play)
  • Health data synced to Google Fit or any health platform

2. How We Use Your Information

Because all data is stored locally on your device, we do not use, process, or have access to your information in any way. Your workout data, bodyweight logs, and preferences exist solely on your device for your personal use within the App.

Simply put: We can't see your data. We never could. That's by design.

3. Subscriptions & Payments

Toro is a subscription-based app with a 14-day free trial, billed monthly or annually through Google Play. When you subscribe:

    • All payments are processed entirely by Google Play — we never see your card details
    • You can cancel your subscription anytime through Google Play, with no penalty
    • Google may collect payment and transaction information in accordance with their own Privacy Policy

    We receive only a subscription status confirmation from Google (active, expired, or cancelled) so the app knows whether to unlock features on your device.

4. Data Storage and Security

All data you enter into Toro is stored locally on your Android device using the device's built-in secure storage. This means:

  • Your data never leaves your device
  • We have no access to your data
  • If you uninstall the App, all locally stored data is permanently deleted
  • If you clear the App's data through Android settings, all data is permanently deleted

We recommend backing up your device regularly using Android's built-in backup features to protect your workout history.

5. Third-Party Services

Toro does not integrate with or send data to any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The App operates entirely offline and does not require an Internet connection for core functionality.

The only third-party interaction is with Google Play for in-app purchase processing, which is governed by Google's own privacy policies.

No ads. Ever. Toro does not display advertisements and does not use ad networks or tracking SDKs of any kind.

6. Children's Privacy

Toro is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Because the App collects no personal information from any user, there is no risk of inadvertent collection of children's data through the App itself.

7. Your Rights

Since all your data is stored locally on your device and we have no access to it, you have complete control over your information at all times. You can:

  • Delete all your data by clearing the App's data in Android Settings → Apps → Toro → Storage → Clear Data
  • Delete individual entries (such as bodyweight logs) directly within the App
  • Uninstall the App to permanently remove all associated data from your device

If you are located in the European Union, United Kingdom, or California, you may have additional privacy rights. Since we do not collect or store your personal information on our end, these rights are inherently satisfied — your data is always in your possession and under your control.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through an in-app notice or by updating the effective date at the top of this policy.

Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
